Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules for using OLISE. It is part of the Terms of Service and applies to every Customer, end-user, integration, and API key. Violations may result in suspension, termination, and reporting to law-enforcement authorities.
1. Purpose
OLISE provides high-trust voice automation for legitimate businesses. The AUP exists to protect callers, our infrastructure, the broader telephone network, and the reputation of the Service. Compliance with this AUP is a condition of the subscription.
2. Prohibited uses
You may not use the Service to:
- Engage in any activity that violates applicable law in any jurisdiction relevant to the activity (US federal and state law, EU and UK law, the law of the country of the called party).
- Infringe intellectual-property rights, including copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent, or rights of publicity.
- Send unsolicited commercial communications (spam) in violation of CAN-SPAM, the TCPA, the EU ePrivacy Directive, the UK PECR, or analogous laws.
- Place autodialed, prerecorded, or AI-generated calls to wireless or residential numbers in the United States without prior express written consent of the called party as required by the TCPA and FCC rules. STIR/SHAKEN attestation rules apply.
- Place calls to numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry, EU equivalents, or internal do-not-call lists, except as expressly permitted.
- Impersonate any person or entity, falsify caller-ID information, or engage in number spoofing in violation of the Truth in Caller ID Act or local equivalents.
- Harass, threaten, defraud, deceive, or extort any person.
- Distribute malware, ransomware, phishing content, or anything designed to harm, disable, or compromise systems.
- Attempt to circumvent security or rate-limiting controls, probe for vulnerabilities outside our authorized disclosure program, or interfere with the Service.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service except where local law expressly permits.
- Resell, sublicense, or expose the Service as a white-label product without an executed reseller agreement.
- Train any third-party AI model on outputs of the Service, in whole or in part.
3. Sensitive and regulated industries
Some uses are prohibited or require additional contractual terms before activation. Contact legal@olise.ai before deploying for any of the following:
- Healthcare and PHI. Use for protected health information under HIPAA requires an executed Business Associate Agreement.
- Financial services. Use for collections, debt-recovery, or credit decisions is allowed only with written approval and additional compliance representations (FDCPA, CFPB rules, state debt-collection licensing).
- Political robocalls. Prohibited unless the Customer demonstrates compliance with TCPA exemptions and FCC rules; the Service may not be used for political calls during the 30 days preceding any U.S. federal election without prior written authorization.
- Adult content. Prohibited.
- Gambling. Allowed only in licensed jurisdictions and with mandatory age-verification by the Customer.
- Weapons, explosives, illegal drugs. Prohibited.
- High-risk decisions. The Service must not make autonomous, consequential decisions (employment, credit, insurance, housing) without human review.
4. Telecom and outbound calling rules
- All outbound campaigns require pre-flight consent verification and a documented suppression-list workflow.
- Calls must include a clear identification of the calling party at the start and an opt-out mechanism within the call.
- We register your traffic with the appropriate caller-ID frameworks (STIR/SHAKEN) and may require A2P registration for SMS.
- Calling hours: outbound calls must respect local quiet-hours rules (8 a.m.–9 p.m. local time of the called party in the United States, plus state-specific tighter windows).
5. Security and platform integrity
- Do not share credentials. Use SSO or per-user accounts.
- Do not embed API keys in client-side code or public repositories.
- Do not run load tests against the Service without prior written approval.
- Do not attempt to bypass tenant isolation, RLS, or any access control.
- Disclose vulnerabilities through security@olise.ai. We commit to a coordinated, no-retaliation disclosure program.
6. Enforcement
We respond to AUP violations proportionate to the severity and impact:
- Warning. First-time, low-severity violations may be addressed with written notice and a request to cure.
- Suspension. Material or recurring violations may result in suspension of affected features or the entire Service while we investigate.
- Termination. Severe or repeated violations may result in termination for cause without refund.
- Cooperation with authorities. We cooperate with valid legal process and may proactively report imminent threats to life or major fraud.
7. Reporting abuse
If you believe an OLISE-powered call has violated this AUP or applicable law, please email abuse@olise.ai with the calling number, the date and approximate time of the call, and any relevant context. We respond to abuse reports within one business day.
8. Changes
We may update this AUP to address new threats and regulatory developments. Material changes will be communicated 30 days before they take effect.
